Accredited as an 'Investor in People' once again

The Cruden Group has once again been accredited with the Investors in People standard.

The Investors in People standard strives for organisations to have a clear vision for its future direction and how it's going to get there, the organisation's plan to be effectively communicated to all colleagues and each member of staff to know their responsibilities and what part they play.

The company was assessed in November 2007 and was successfully accredited as an Investor in People once again. The Investors in People standard and focus on talent development has been part of the Cruden culture for many years. On each assessment the standards of the accreditation has been raised which clearly demonstrate the commitment Cruden have in this area. We believe our employees are our most valuable asset, we are committed to their long term development of talents and skills at all levels of career with the company.

The assessors comments included "Potential is nurtured and developed, Directors identify people with the ability to progress and then support their development through a structured programme'. The Cruden Group have a dedicated talent development programme 'Escalate' where employees are offered training and development to support their career and skills aspirations within the company. 'Escalate' covers apprenticeships, vocational and professionally recognized courses to degree and diploma level. Our 'awareness' work shops highlight industry specific issues including environment, health and safety and equality and diversity to all members of staff, promoting our 'life long learning' culture is throughout the business.

The assessors report was concluded by commenting "The Cruden Group continues to place great emphasis on training and developing people and on providing openings within the company for people who demonstrate interest and have potential. Managers are viewed as encouraging and supportive and people enjoy working for Crudens, as evidenced by the number of long service staff"
